Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna announces rates for UAE residents

(Abu Dhabi, May 2006): A five-star weekend at Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna looks set to be one of the “must-do” activities for UAE residents this summer, with new summer rates in its Essential Weekend series.

From May 15 to September 15, two nights at the resort costs just Dhs750 net, including a buffet breakfast each morning, for either single or double occupancy in a room with a sea view.

The flagship resort for the regional hotel group, Danat Hotels & Resorts, Jebel Dhanna is certainly the hot ticket of the summer season, according to general manager, Manoj Kanwal.

He said: “The resort offers a luxury holiday for the entire family – but at incredibly reasonable rates. Simply a two-hour drive from Abu Dhabi and only three hours from Dubai, guests will discover our sparkling private beaches, gracious hospitality and impeccable service on the UAE’s west coast.”

Up to two children 12 years of age or younger may stay in the room for free. The resort gives a 50 per cent discount on food and beverage for children under 12 years, while children 4 years and younger dine for free. The Essential Weekend summer rate is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from May 15, 2006 through to September 15, 2006.

“Our rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with extra touches such as turndown service and a fruit of the day,” said Kanwal. “Whether guests are in the room, on the beach or dining in our restaurants, they will experience true Arabian hospitality.”

Dining options at Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna are plentiful, with Tides, the 24-hour restaurant overlooking the Arabian Gulf, available for breakfast, lunch and dinner – buffet or a la carte. Zaitoun offers stylish décor and a Pan-Arab menu, C-View café offers light fare and L’attitude bar buzzes with afternoon and evening entertainment.

At the beach, Al Bahar’s menu is the catch of the day prepared and grilled on the spot, while L’etoile opens in the evenings for shisha and stargazing. The swim up pool bar and room service wrap up the various options.

Guests keep fit at the health club or use the two floodlit tennis courts and two squash courts. For those who love the sun and sand, the swimming pool and 800-metre private beach come equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, with friendly staff nearby to bring refreshing beverages.

Adventure seekers can take advantage of the various water sports available at the beach from snorkelling to wind surfing. The resort concierge can also arrange deep sea fishing excursions, along with desert safaris or a boat trip to the nature reserve on Sir Bani Yas Island where young and old alike will delight in the abundant wildlife first-hand.
